About Nick
Those who know me know there is not much I can say about music. For me, it's always been about the feel. It creeps into your soul - your very being. The takeover started at age 10 when my aunt Terry handed me two cassette tapes under the table during Thanksgiving dinner. AC/DC "Highway To Hell", and Pearl Jam "Ten." Needless to say, it was all over from that point.I'll spare you the long and the short story and skip to turning pro at age 15, dropping out of high school, signing a major label deal at 16, and never looking back. As co-founder of Silvertide, a Philadelphia based rock band, I enjoyed the ride of a lifetime - making records, videos, a movie, and touring the world for nearly 3 years. Next up I had the privilege of playing with a true rock icon, Mr. Perry Farrell. We met in Los Angeles, my current home, and enjoyed a 6 month run bringing out great tunes both old and new.
The turning point... SHINEDOWN.
When I got the call to join my brothers, my friends for so many years, I only had 2 questions: When and Where. Side by side, we cut our teeth together out on the open road starting back in 2003. Although at that time we where in 2 different bands, our goals where the same. Give all you have to give, night after night, no matter what. The bond that I formed with them years ago as friends, has come come full circle, and I now call them family.
It is my honor to be part of this amazing band. And as I mentioned before, it's hard to say what is happening between us - you'll just have to feel it.
